Glossary of Terms
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-14:    This specification covers nonreinforced concrete pipe intended to be used for the conveyance of sewerage, industrial wastes, storm water, and for the construction of culverts.
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-76:    This specification covers reinforced concrete pipe intended to be used for the conveyance of sewerage, industrial wastes, storm water, and for the construction of culverts.
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-361:    This specification covers reinforced concrete pipe intended to be used for the construction of pressure pipelines with low internal hydrostatic heads generally not exceeding 125 ft..
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-443:    This specification covers flexible water tight joints for circular concrete sewer and culvert pipe and precast manhole sections, using rubber gaskets for sealing the joints, where infiltration or exfiltration is a factor in the design. The specification covers the design of joints and the requirements for rubber gaskets to be used therewith, for pipe conforming in all other respects to specification, ASTM C-14, or specification, ASTM C-76, and precast manhole sections conforming in all other respects to specification, ASTM C-478, provided that if there is conflict in permissible variations in dimensions the requirements of this specification for joints shall govern.
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-478:    This specification covers precast reinforced concrete manhole base sections, riser sections, and appurtenances such as grade rings, tops, and special sections for use in sewer and water works.
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-497:    These test methods cover testing of concrete pipe, manhole sections, and tile. The test methods described are used in production testing and acceptance testing to evaluate the properties provided for in the specification.
ball26.gif (137 bytes) ASTM C-507:    This specification covers reinforced oval or elliptically shaped concrete pipe to be used for the conveyance of sewerage, industrial wastes, storm water, and for the construction of culverts.
